Hi.
My name is Amy Bright and I write Girl
to the Rescue, a literary blog that reviews mostly young adult literature,
children’s books, graphic novels and fantasy.
I started Girl to the Rescue after I finished my MA in English, sort of as a
way to get back to young adult literature and fantasy, two categories of books
that were strangely lacking throughout both undergrad and graduate school
classes. This blog helps out a lot particularly because a) Without school I
sort of don’t know what to do with myself and b) I have a lot of time to read
and write about books right now because of the “finished MA” thing. It’s a “sit
down and write regularly” and also a “talk about the books I’ve really wanted to talk about over the
last few years” and “find a lot of good YA lit, also fantasy.”
